Access requests that get approved

Before you ask

1. Read the whole briefInterview process and hiring manager's notes included. Most declined requests could have been avoided here.
2. Find two or three real namesBefore you ask for access, know who in your network fits. If nobody comes to mind, skip the role.
3. Check the basicsSalary range, location and workplace. A great candidate in the wrong city is not a fit.

The request

1. Name your nicheOne line on the roles and markets you recruit for, in words the hirer uses.
2. Show comparable placementsTwo or three similar roles you filled recently. Company names are optional; seniority and location help more.
3. Say what you can bringHow many candidates you expect to refer and how soon. Each recruiter can have up to five active candidates per job, so quality beats volume.

After approval

1. Refer verified candidates onlyEvery candidate confirms their profile before the hirer sees it. Send the strongest first and add a short note on why they fit.
